Binnacle Co. (Binnacle Consulting LLC) collects as little as it can and sells none of it.
What we collect
- The contact form: your name, work email, the moment you picked and what you wrote. We use it to reply.
- The letter: The Binnacle Letter is published on Substack at letter.binnacle.co. When you subscribe there, Substack collects your email address to send it, under Substack’s privacy policy.
- Clients: billing contact details and what you tell us during an engagement, which we keep confidential.
What we don’t do
- No advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party fonts. This site loads nothing from anyone else. Pages at letter.binnacle.co are run by Substack and follow its policies.
- We never sell, rent or trade your information.
Who handles it for us
Our web host stores contact-form submissions. Email runs through our mail provider. Substack sends the letter. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles card details directly; we never see or store them.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don’t become engagements are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept as long as tax law requires. You can unsubscribe from the letter at any time from any issue.
